Weekend Update version 2.0

Hey guys, sorry for the really late update this week, but I spent so much time playing Soulcalibur that I never got around to posting.  Not to mention that I wanted to take some time a put together a better post rather than throwing something out like I usually do.

The point of the “weekend update” is to show what I HOPE to be playing this weekend.  I will be comparing several diffrent MMORPGs this weekend and more specifically I will compare World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online, and Dungeons and Drangons Online.  If readers want a me to try a diffrent MMO, send me a link or give me a free trial and I will write about it next week.

For those who don’t know much about Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPG), I shall briefly enlighten you.  You, the player, get on the game and create a character by picking a race, class, and appearance.  You then log into the game’s world where you quest alongside other people from around the real world.  You then level up the character to unlock new spells, abilities, and equipment.  You can also fight other players who stand on the opposing faction in Player vs Player (PVP) battles.  So sit back, gain some levels, and watch your social life dissappear

Ok, so that last part was a little mean, but we all know at least one person who NEEDS to stop playing.  MMOs are not nearly as bad as most people think.  At times, some people find themselves logging more time online than they feel they should be, but I’ve never seen one of my friends sacrifice their social life because they have a “raid”.  But I do have a few stories of gamers who may take these games a bit too seriously, like these two Second-Life players.

Maybe I’m a terrible person, but I laughed at it.  Anyways, to cope with such a depressing topic I’m going to go play some Team Fortress 2.  If you don’t know what TF2 is, let the Scout tell you all you need to know…
